You are a carer if you regularly look after someone who wouldn't be able to manage at home without your help.
You may not even see yourself as a 'carer', you may be simply a partner, parent, child, neighbour, or good friend, but you may one day require the Emergency Homecare help.
The time frames for a social care response with an assessment are not always matched with our view of appropriate response to urgent in situations of immediate care needs.
In emergency we can all be sensitive to delays in care. The longer we wait for a definitive consultation, opinion, support and treatment, the more likely we are to end up attending the hospital.
The service will provide responsive and reliable Emergency Homecare service for families and carers who provide support for people over the age of 18 with the aim of providing peace of mind for clients, carers, and family members when a crisis occurs.
Families and Carers will need to register with the scheme in advance. Once registered, the family or carers will be issued with FirstIn Emergency Homecare Card. The Emergency Homecare Card will have details on how to contact us in an emergency as well as details of their duties.

How it Works – Private Clients, Carers, Families

Our goal is to make the service easy, straight forward and transparent ensuring we provide immediate and assured Emergency Homecare solutions. Emergency assessments will be conducted at the time of the enquiry and through completion of online registration form.
The service can be accessed 24 hours a day 7 days a week by calling our Emergency Support Hotline. Your call will be answered by one of our trained Specialist Emergency Homecare Coordinators.
During the call they will take your details and discuss the reason for your call with you to find out how best to assist you. In three easy steps we can assist you.
